  I remember having this phone in 2010 🤣. The WORST phone ever. No actual lock button, slow device, resistive touch screen, phone kept crashing. I had to get a new phone a couple months later because it just couldn’t do its job.

  I had this phone back in 2010. Biggest piece of shit I've ever owned. I only got it since my carrier replaced my Samsung F480i (should of kept it instead of replacing it with the lg). This thing was sooo laggy, the resistive touchscreen was a pain in the ass to use, txting was a horrible experience, the sound (both the speaker and the headphone jack) was horrible, gps never worked, bluetooth worked when it want to, the camera was crap (my sony ericsson from 2005 took better pictures), web browsing was horrible, I could hardly install any apps and it would freeze all the time not to mention it took forever to boot up.  The battery life was soo bad, I couldn't even get through 3 quarters of a day before it needed to be recharged (My current phone, a 2 year old galaxy s4 has better battery life now then what this phone had when it was new) and it was so slow to charge the dam thing (Over 3 and a half hours to be fully recharged!). But the best part was when I went to hit the green answer button to answer a call, often the phone would think I hit cancel button and made me miss many calls. I got so frustrated with this piece of shit and ended up using a old Sony Ericsson k800i, it might not been able to download apps or had a touchscreen, but atleast it was reliable!

  Yes, there is a possibility to brick your phone, but if you are going step by step over tutorial chances are really low. And yes, you lose insurance, but there is a way to put back official LG software, and I think that it gives you back insurance (I am not sure about that, I am just guessing).

  Firstly, isn't even 2 years from release. Secondly, calling it a pile of shit doesn't mean it have problems. This phone sucks in terms of it's shitty made in 1994 touchscreen and a slow processor, 600MHz ARMv6, even 3GS has 600MHz ARMv7!! yes 800mps vs 2000mps at the same speed!! Yes, samsung device I have now is great and I ain't gonna regret selling that LG. All I feel sorry for is the person who I sold it to.

  Yes viber should work on any android phone its an app. I have a regular lg optimus its almost a year old still looks new. My son has thrown it at doors dropped it as well as i. It still works fine as the day i bought it no scratches or broken screen.

  @mrharrypotterspells the phone is painfully slow when compared to cortex 8. touchscreen is not senstive at all when compared to glass type. the menu and back key kneeds you to jam your finger to get it working. You also can't unlock the phone by swippibg your finger lighly, it needs a certaon amount of pressure to activate the touchscreen on.this phone since it is resistive, 2 conductive lags as a pose to a "capactive"?¡ one which is activated by change of magnetic field

  In My opinion don't get it. I had this phone for Christmas Last year, its now starting to freeze and has started to be very slow when getting on the the menu. This is just my opinion.. I wouldn't get an android, either iphone,HTC and Blackberry torch is worth they're money!

  @MadGamer021 Ya bro, we're talking about offical update. This phone is the most advanced yet the most irritating phone I have owned. The phone is slow, sluggish with a shitty touchscreen. Gingerbread had around 50MB of ram, what about ICS? 10MB? You're just upgrading your phone with a non-native kernel and even the .35 are completely unoptimized with slow user interface and graphics performance, yet people of XDA says it's fast because of benchmarks and not overall user performance.

  @promenoshi @promenoshi i had the same exact problems. plus it never recognized the memory card, nor could make any apps to work properly. today it just stopped recognizing the OS and has been rebooting all day and i cannot turn it off. it "worked" for less than 3 months compared to 3+ years of my previous nokias!   I would advise people not to get this phone. When i first had this phone at christmas it froze and still continues to freeze now, it can become very slow, it has switched itself of a couple of times on me, and and buttons are slowly breaking on me, although the internet it brilliant on there but yeah, buy another phone because its happened to my friends phone too. so im getting a new phone in two weeks hopefully! :) and also the back of the phone scratches very easily!!!!
